Undeu

The UNDEU theater is like a collective scream that takes the stage, bringing the audience the feeling of a different reality regarding the oppressive system that initially subjugates and unfairly defines us. By attending UNDEU, the audience can naturally experience a distinct feeling from their own reality, making this play distinctive in nature. It is characterized by its critical and highly relevant portrayal, generating a collective awareness - a scream that we consider urgent. We classify this play as alternative and contemporary due to its unique elements of set design, script, and live musical performances. It highlights real perspectives from the outskirts and suppressed local talents. The Unidigrazz joins forces with artists Suzana and Ariyouok to bring life, color, and soul to this concept of bringing the poetic essence of Sintra's outskirts and lives to the performing arts, with a conscious writing and direction by Diogo "Gazela" Carvalho. The concept is complemented by the set design and World Vision by artist Sepher AWK. Presenting this raw experience of the outskirts on stage in approximately 40 minutes, the play utilizes music, lighting, projections, and an interactive set design, just as the actors themselves bring to the stage a lived experience of this sensitivity and collective reality in the suburbs, making this play truly original.
