Bruno Teixeira, known by his artistic name Sepher AWK, was born in April 1997, in Amadora. A multidisciplinary artist, he transitions from murals to illustration and animation in cycles of constant reinvention. He is sensitive to the journey through the seasons of the area where he grew up. He creates fictions and imaginaries based on real and nostalgic contexts, imagined by those who feel and lived by the artist himself. He turns his imaginaries into a journey along the Sintra Line, in which he goes back and forth countless times, being influenced by its surroundings and developing his artistic identity through forms and colors, feelings, and messages.
In 2014, he founded the artistic collective "Awake," "AWK," with Marco Boto and Nuno Trigueiros, awakening to the possibility and reality of living from what they love. They created and produced murals and videos, participated in local cultural events. The artist focused on mural painting using spray techniques, developing his own style and achieving an identity that brought him opportunities and visibility in national events.
In 2019, he immersed himself in the world of illustration and animation, making it the focus of his professional life with collaborations with artists and entities such as Julinho KSD, Instinto26.
In 2020, he created the collection of train stations on the Sintra Line and joined the collective "UniDigrazz," composed of Tristany, Diogo "Gazella" Carvalho, Onun Trigueiros, and Rappepa Bedju Tempu.
In 2021, he exhibited at the Crackids gallery with his first layered artwork. He started his first animated short film for the musician Trista from Instinto26. He participated in the "Router Baum" festival in Berlin with an installation at the festival entrance and a mural. He exhibited at MU.SA (Sintra Arts Museum) with the UniDigrazz collective in the collective exhibition "Imaginary Line."
In 2022, he exhibited at MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture, and Technology with the UniDigrazz collective in the collective exhibition "Interferences," curated by Carla Cardoso, Alexandre Farto (VHILS), and António Brito Guterres. He exhibited at the IMINENTE Festival in Marseille, at the MuCEM (Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations), with the collective, presenting the installation "Kintal." He participated in the mural "48 artists, 48 years of freedom" at the MAAT Gardens. He conducted a series of workshops in various local associations in Sintra, Lisbon, and Amadora, promoting community participation and cultural activities, fostering the development of a more active community. Together with Diogo "Gazella" Carvalho, he prepared and presented the set design for the UniDigrazz theater piece, UNDEU, which brings not only a vision but also an invisible experience to those outside the art world. He exhibited at the IMINENTE Festival in Lisbon with the collective through the exhibition "Meia Riba Kalxa na Boka Mundu," a moving installation that takes the viewer on an authentic train journey, introducing this reality to those who have never experienced it or questioned it. He carried out urban art interventions directly with the Algueirão-Mem Martins Parish Council, conducting workshops during summer vacations and painting murals. He completed the first pavement painting on the Sintra Line at the skate park in Serra das Minas, during the festival organized by the local association Jipangue and the Rio de Mouro Parish Council.
In early 2023, he created the animated music video for Richie Campbell's "Run Gimme" and subsequently an installation in stained glass for Richie Campbell's largest concert at the Altice Arena, which brought to light a stained glass piece that transported the spectator to a place of prayer, as if the artist were asking for divine accompaniment. He recently attended the MAINSTREET FESTIVAL in Rio de Janeiro, where he painted a mural and was invited by the Mendes Viana Municipal School in Rio de Janeiro to make an intervention on the school's entrance mural. He also participated in the Vidigal project, "Invisible Cities," in partnership with the Vidigal Association.
